Sadly because of the Anime, OPM popularity fall off hard.
Many people still reads the Manga tho, but Murata constantly changing the chapter or redraw which makes me even confused, and seemingly changing the webcomic story, makes lot of fans burned out it seems.
Don't get me wrong i still pike Murata Version, but i think people likes to read the webcomic now than Murata version ( cuz the current arc is interesting too )

Yeah, but that isn’t new though. The redraws and stuff were happening for years and the chapters still released - not consistently - but they did come out. Now i don’t even remember when the last chapter came out…

I still insist that it is stupid that Imu is a physical monster. At least with the Yonkou, you could imagine them going on raids and stuff.

Imu hasn't done shit for centuries and he's still so strong? Absolute nonsense.
he works out in the garden, silly. gotta keep in shape. im sure joyboy said his will will carry on or something and imu did not want to be caught offguard when it came to pass

The rank below, God's Blade, as seen with Shanks and Harald, didn't seem to know him.

But I would have had him be like a Dungeons and Dragons (or Pathfinder) esque Lich. A powerful sorcerer but not a physical fighter.
I've wondered how much that has to do with Shanks and Harald being "outsiders". Shanks did have CD blood, and it's like OBVIOUS he's Shamrock's brother, but, maybe Imu is only revealed to those raised in Marijoa.

I wonder if Doffy met Imu. Homing realizing his son was going to become a God's Knight, and fleeing Marijoa to save them from this would be interesting to me.

We need to know how they're even chosen in the first place, too. Lesser branch members?

I think it's Imu just spying on the kids in the castle, then going, "yeah, I want this one, they're strong."

Imu's personality makes me believe they'd just pick the strong kids they were interested in, and even if they didn't want to become a God's Knight, well, guess what? Would make Killingham vs Sanji really interesting, if Killingham had rejected the idea of being a God's Knight, but Imu forced them into the position.

Harald and Loki might be two of the only people in history that really had a choice in the matter.

At first, I thought the HK would be kind of like the Janissaries from Ottoman Turkey: slave-soldiers, but it is kinda been emphasized that they really are kind of slaves who don't realize it.

Interesting.

I wonder if Imu themselves are "possessed" in the same sense the God's Knights. Some of Imu's dialogue really makes me feel they're being possessed/not fully aware of what's going on around them.

Would be crazy if Imu was like Harald/Shuri as God's Knights, and is also being manipulated.

I'm beginning to believe this, especially with Imu and Joy Boy being portrayed as somewhat friendly with each other.

Well, it seems pretty likely Imu has a Mythical Zoan, right?

And there was that line that if you awaken a Zoan wrong, it takes over your mind....

What if Nerona Imu is truly dead and gone and the Devil Fruit is what's left of his mind?
