They looked equally injured after Harald whooped their asses. Prime Gaban didn't show any superiority over young Shanks in the battle against Harald. Prime Gaban never made 3 yonko ran in fear like prime Garp did. Prime Garp low diffs prime Gaban just like prime Roger low diffs prime Gaban.

Luffy encountered the entity that supposedly possesses a devil fruit incarnating the opposite of what Nika stands for, which allows Imu to counter Nika's abilities, with the difference that stats-wise Luffy is light years below Imu.

If Nika was born from the desire for liberation and freedom, Imu's power was born from the desire for oppression and control.

Nah current Luffy is much stronger than young Shanks who was equal to prime Gaban.

While prime Garp was scaring 3 yonko, prime Gaban was struggling to hold his axe against magnet df user.
