Chapter Discussion Shanks who was scarred by Teach and is warning people about him said that Imus power is beyond comprehension

People misunderstood Shanks. He's not worried about Blackbeard, he's worried FOR Blackbeard. Much like with Loki, Blackbeard would just be rushing to his death vs Imu. Shanks is trying to save his life and stop him from getting negged like Luffy did.

I mean I was told we havent seen Blackbeard true power yet but Shanks saw it yet Shanks doesn’t find it as impressive as Imus.
People expect too much of him.
Blackbeard would play dirty in every way possible to Kill/Take Luffy/Loki DF which is a must for Shanks plan.

So far looking into shanks, he is only saving people, breaking off fights for the final war. Maybe because in the end, there's no threat they have from each other but only Imu.
Blackbeard is a weird guy because he wants to sit on the top.

Shanks still being upset that his Tobi Roppo level self got scarred by Tobi Roppo level Blackbeard 14 years ago.
Meanwhile, over the next 12 years Shanks grew to Yonkou or even Pirate King level while Blackbeard remained almost stagnant, growing to maybe YC3 Jack level when he fought Ace.
Yet we're supposed to believe Shanks views him as a threat? he could've oneshot him during the timeskip if he wanted to.

Ladies and gentlemen this is the average One Piece reader in a nutshell.

Anyone who genuinely believes that Teach was as strong as Jack during Marineford has no idea what they are talking about.
The guy that rolled over to a preskip Luffy punch? Fodderised by Megallan? Struggled vs Hakiless Ace? I see no reason to put Pre-Earthquake Blackbeard even remotely comparable to current Sanji/Zoro. Jack level is his ceiling, and I'm being generous.

Even after getting a massive buff with the Earthquake fruit, Gorosei believed Blackbeard was below YC1 Marco.
So, still fodder compared to Shanks 2 years ago.
