I meant Shanks is afraid of BB's potential. Both clearly know about Xebec, during their off screen clash BB might have mentioned he is Xebec's son and that shook Shanks so hard he started snitching on BB's captain

Oda's trying to make up for only introducing Imu a few hundred chapters back. He's gonna keep giving him immense hype. I think Teach will be amazing and Imu's already on the look out for him (along with Luffy as seen with the posters) but I expect Imu to be the final villain so this sort of hype from Shanks just makes sense. Teach is one to look out for cause he's much more capable than he shows, Imu's just monstrous all around and hard to even fathom defeating 1v1.
