Where's the big wound caused by Loki? Where's the big wound caused by Luffy? That's the point. They've been fighting Imu and what visible damage have they actually inflicted? Now an old man shows up, throws hands for one chapter, and actually makes Imu bleed. But somehow that's not impressive?

Gaban effectively did more in a few panels than the entire current generation has managed against the King of the World. That's a legendary way to show the gap between eras.

I'm starting to believe xebec and harald weren't that strong. Roger pirates probably gapped them after xebecs death. which ruins garling stocks aswell. xebec fought arguably a weaker imu and got dommied straight bum.

Loki’s one swing left Imu coughing for multiple panels. Gaban’s attack is also a barrage, one of those slashes doing a paper cut on Imu isn’t that impressive. He lost an arm and is already done by the end. Need to see the raws to know if it’s actually an impressive feat or not.

I understand the sentiment, but after the initial hit on Imu, Luffy couldn't tag him once. Also Imu got hit by Loki once through out the fight, and that too was when was screaming about joyboy and is distracted. Even Loki mentions that when he attacks him.

Remember Yanker mocks luzan for getting speed blitz from old wound garp (Shyrui slab) even Oda state Kuzan is holding back.

Now Gaban is injured, clash Imu, injured him unlike gear 5 luffy, van hang Imu speed which same Imu react to KOH zoro and Sanji.

Given oda is not a fan of repeat in fights (unless there is a REAL long gap since the characters were shown fighting) i wonder what Imu will use when he will fight once again, he is almost going thorugh all of the weapons now? Plus the ones he gave bummers and bummingham?

It's Oda so you never know.

But I do feel we will see what IMU df can do when Nika will get an asspull.

Just weapons isn't fitting well rn and not doing justice with IMU as antagonist
