Post-production usually takes about a year so sometime in 2028 is when the movie will most likely come out.

That'd be crazy if we got the live-action Naruto movie in the same year when live-action One Piece could potentially be on Skypeia.

Naruto was the most cinematic experience in the 21st century growing up with only television and some internet learning of the world of Shinobi. The setting the music the time that it came out in the USA made it etched into my identity especially because I used to be in and out of hospitals for health reasons and my two obsessions at that time were Ben 10 and Naruto. ALL the kids knew about Naruto in my middle school. It was so. So peak.

At its peak around 2011-2012 all I remember was how Fkn cool Jiraiya was.

And that is a cause of great ire for Eichiiro Oda. He admitted this btw. I forget the exact quote but it goes something like “I am very jealous of Kishimoto for having the balls to kill off major characters like Jiraiya so now I will copy him with Ace!”

Even if One Piece started out on Toonami and wasn't censored to hell and back, I doubt it would've came near the popularity of Naruto. I found old articles talking about how Naruto was Cartoon Network's most popular series from 2006-2007 and how it spurred Viz Media to translate volumes at a much faster rate in order to meet the demand and catch up with the the original Japan release.

Peter Parker literally does talk no jutsu to defeat the villain. The director is already foreshadowing his Naruto movie.

This live-action movie feels like a last ditch effort from Shueisha to breathe some new life into the franchise again because Boruto just isn't cutting it. If it's done right, it's gonna be the biggest thing to happen to Naruto is a very long time.

In other news, Kishimoto made an appearance in a Spider-Man movie documentary to advertise Brand New Day because it shares the same director as the Naruto movie.

Kishimoto being a big fan of TASM2 makes me wonder if he actually wanted to kill off Hinata like Gwen Stacy but the editors wouldn't let him do it.

Land of Waves would probably be the easiest to adapt while showing nearly everything you need to know about Naruto and Sasuke's dynamic, the power system and even mundane diplomacy

The first chapter, then some brief scenes of some missions of the Team 7,then go straight to the Chunin Exams! There is where the fire starts 🔥

That would be too battle heavy and thus too CGI heavy. All the budget and time would go into multiple different fights.
