Why is it always Kaido?
If you say that Old Gaban is stronger than Green Bull, Akainu, or Kizaru, it does not sound nearly as impressive as saying that he is stronger than Kaido.

Croc switched to poison cause he didn’t want to fight. He slashed Luffy immediately guaranteeing a win but Luffys weird vitality kept him going.

But croc literally had nothing left to fight for. Above his head a massive bomb was about to go off throughout the town, so he didn’t have territory to fight for. The poneglyph was a dead end so he didn’t have pluton to fight for. He destroyed Luffy twice, so he didn’t even have pride to fight for.

Croc literally had nothing to fight for which as we’ve seen in OP causes a huge nerf

See I'll make this simpler.
- Luffy in gear 5 has limitless potential given his own thinking is his biggest drawbacks. Haki is strong enough to be in yonkou tier as well.

But power is short lived,
- Luffy can't maintain Gear 5 for more than 5~10 minutes. Do you really see Kaidou going down in 5 minutes span?
- In egghead if it was Kizaru vs Kaidou, Do you see them ending the match in 10 minutes?
Or kizaru saying to kaidou that you should be reaching your limits?

That's why I call Luffy, Zoro, Law as intermidiatory top tier, they stuff in their arsenal to keep up with top tiers, but none of them entirely has what it takes to completely beat them.
