Mainly I'm just not 100% on them fighting the Gorosei specifically.

They really are the ultimate foils though are they not?

The Gorosei and the Admirals both represent the ultimate soldiers of the WG, they both stand at the top of the WG hierarchy, the difference being the Gorosei completely sold their humanity to Satan while the Admirals still have their humanity, buried under WG propaganda but it is still there. When you view them this way, the Admirals really have to fight the Gorosei, they are perfect foils to one another.

I still say we have enough info to declare all un-buffed Egghead Gorosei as being stronger than Saint Shanks. They are all like if Saint Shanks was immortal and ate an OP mythical Zoan. Admirals defeating buffed Gorosei works perfectly for me. Lol

the only admiral who could betray wg is fujitora. that would make no sense for the others. kizaru is a corporate slave and greenbull a celestial dragons boot licker. enven marines like sengoku and garp have never betrayed them. yet, they were not ignorant of the disgusting actions of the World Government and the Celestial Dragons.

Fujitora can still stay with Marines carrying garp role.
Garp had the choice to leave marines and join Roger pirates, he simply choose no to. He had other goals, which alligns more towards fujitora sense of justice and goals.
