Us knowing that despite Gaban specializing in observation and Rayleigh in armament both are extremely skilled with conquerors really makes Roger and Shanks even more special

The fact that they can use divine departure but the wings can’t is crazy. Tho I imagine it’s like future observation or internal armament where technically anyone could potentially learn both but most don’t. Same way Gaban doesn’t have internal armament and Rayleigh doesn’t have future observation

The monster trio all learning new “levels” to conquerors

1. Luffy might unlock Roger or Shanks level mastery
2. Zoro is probably using his conquerors crudely and clumsily like Luffy did at first before he somehow fixed it when he returned to fight Kaido
3. Sanji just needs to unlock it + infusion. Probably to Zoro’s current crude level maybe but hey

If the idea is that the successor would have to be strong enough to beat Imu, then you have to recognize that Roger didn't actually fight Imu so he wouldn't know what it takes lol.

Not really, if you read this arc all 3 of the main Roger pirates have been put as relative to each other. Sure Roger might be a bit stronger so lets say Old Roger would do a bit better then Gaban but thats about it.

We're not shown what happened with Imu. I doubt he did sustain much but it should be pretty clear that if Imu pulled up on Roger's from crew 23 years ago in place of the Straw Hats here, that shit would have been off the charts.
