You completely misunderstood the scene and Isshin's character. Isshin says such an absurd thing just to tease Ichigo and get a reaction from him, which he does constantly in the early manga.
Regardless, you cannot seriously think this is an outlier, almost all the major pre and late 90s mangaka were writing this type of shit.

Have you actually read the first fifty or so chapters or did you just happen to stumble across these images on Google and force yourself to be outraged?
