He seemed to have forgotten that just because he's apart of the big leagues rn, doesn't mean he gets to be careless. I hope he locks in from now.

Unnecessary and forced drama....Oda simply lost his game...now all we get is dickteasing and escape from island after island without any paybacks...not just with Luffy, all SHs are just side characters now...this Gaban scene is also a waste of time given the schizophrenic nature of Oda....you don't get any payoff anyways....

You've forgotten what kind of manga you're reading. Learning to not be careless is something Luffy should have learned decades ago, at the very least when he got crushed by Crocodile during their first fight, yet this never sticks.

The almost heartbreaking but also moving thing is imagining Zoro and Sanji in Rayleigh and Gaban's places while interacting with Luffy.

Imagine if Luffy was dead,and Zoro and Sanji years later met a kid who was similar to him,and they had to teach him how to become a better pirate.
Thats why we can understand Scopper Gaban scolding Luffy so hard in this chapter!
For him,its not even so much about saving the world,but about giving the right tribute to Roger,his captain!
