General & Others Now that Gaban has had his Old Legend Showcase keep the same energy when Luffy shows ya’ll who the real legend is!

He’s not even restricted. He’s just not as strong as you want him to be.
What are you talking about. Gear 5s time limit is a restriction. Oda places nerfs on Luffy that he doesn’t place on other characters. What other Zoan user or devil fruit user have we seen with a time limit?

Luffy didn’t get fodderized and fail to hurt Imu via time restriction he did cause he wasn’t strong enough.

Literally Loki and most awakened users say that their awakening is incredibly stamina draining just like Luffys.

Based off what? Gaban has better feats and portrayal? You haven’t mentioned a single reason you think this
No he doesn’t he just landed one attack which was likely his strongest. We know for a fact Luffy didn’t use his strongest attacks.

Gaban is going to have a much longer showing than that before I place him above a yonko.

When have we seen that be a factor? Law also said he had a stamina issue but when was it a factor?

He landed multiple attacks. And did damage to Imu through his omen barrier. Meanwhile Luffy landed… 0 attacks and he didn’t use his strongest moves cause he was legit too busy running for his life to charge it.

“Gaban needs a bigger showing than hurting the undisputed top 1 character that a yonko couldn’t hurt before i place him above a yonko”

This is just downright bias because you can’t even hide behind “feat scaling” anymore

Oda doesn't respect Luffy or care about him and you need to realize that. He'll keep making him look like a fool because he thinks it's funny. He thinks it's good characterization.
He's done this plotline of Luffy actually not being as strong as he was said to be and being too careless and reckless a thousand times before, I'm not sure why you're shocked that he's doing it again.

I know for a fact that next time Luffy’s Haki blast scares Imu, or he accomplishes something incredible against him, people especially zorofans will start crying about “gauntlet” excuses. The exact same thing happened with Kaido, and it’s going to happen again.

I’m not shocked at what Odas doing at all. We all knew Luffy was taking an L here. I just think is dumb to bash the character that’s going to outshine every side character each arc regardless.

Luffys just getting shit on by the fandom cause people were pushing him far above the admirals and old gen top tiers which he is shown to Be a good bit weaker than.

Literally that’s all it is. No one’s saying Luffy isn’t getting his PU then finishing off a nerfed opponent like he gets constantly, just that his current strength is hilariouslg overrated

Do you know how bad the series would be if Luffy wasn’t heavily restricted?
It doesn't even have to be from the perspective you're assuming, in terms of g5 being restricted, but the way luffy is going about it treating this whole scenario he is in like a game. But even if we look at it from what you're proposing:

Whose fault is it for creating that kind of scenario in the first place? to where the MC has to be heavily restricted?

This is what happens when you get a bullshit reality warping power up, you have to rinse and repeat the same set-backs which seems like total BS and not organic at all.

Luffy went through the same thing with G4, seemingly got used to it, but all of a sudden that doesn't make a difference at all with gear 5, in fact it's even worse. Even Kaioken makes way more sense because of the stress that amp puts on the users body, with G5 luffy is laughing and playing until he just abruptly can't anymore.

Awakening is supposed to be a result of devil fruit mastery, when mind and body are in synergy, it's almost like it should be a result of you better managing your stamina, but ironically when the MC reaches awakening he now has to master the awakening, not just from a utility perspective which makes sense, but another superficial stamina imposed setback.

Either way it doesn't matter, the reason I also like shitting on luffy is because of people that believe somehow that luffy is stronger than Mihawk for example after getting g5, when it was blatantly obvious Luffy gets one shot like the bum he is. What scopper is saying just blatantly confirms what I and many others have been saying over and over, but what went over many peoples heads.

You have people continually glaze luffy like he's already the pirate king pre-emptively just because we know he'll get there eventually. So what's wrong with shitting on him while he's not there? that's call a healthy amount of negativity to combat the toxic-positivity

Because people already act like he's a god on another level and try to justify his 24/7 goofy behaviour but scopper has to tell him to take things seriously, and many have had this sentiment for some time now.

Luffy > Mihawk. However I agree with everything else. Luffy is fighting like an idiot. The way he operates now makes G5 hard to enjoy.

Do you think Luffy was > Mihawk after wano, as in he'd beat mihawk in a 1v1

and if not what do you think changed between wano till now.

Either way that is the complete wrong take, there is a reason Kaido is not a swordsman, Luffy would have died hundreds of times over against Mihawk even in g5.

There would be no second or 3rd chance to bounce back. Even being impaled by these swords is better than getting impaled by yoru, MIhawk would finish luffy off straight away. Even imu was just taking his time playing slot machine with the blades instead of just carving out luffy with the sword already impaled in him using his haki.

Simply too dangerous of an opponent. And then consider the setback of g5 not yet being surmounted. Also consider how Luffy's life was in kizarus hands after g5 time limit. Even if luffy wasn't trying to beat Kizaru, Mihawk is on another level entirely.

Luffy is not > Mihawk yet. Luffy's strongest attack can't stop mihawk because it leaves himself too exposed, he'd get his arm cut off, and he was getting cut by kaidos wind slashes let alone the strongest swordsman wielding the strongest blade.

I bet if I asked you is luffy > shanks you'd say no, but the fact of the matter is there is even if you think shanks > mihawk there is not an insane amount of disparity in terms of their overall strength in a 1v1 sense to where luffy is going to be in-between them.

Even having Akainu in-between Shanks and MIhawk is more reasonable, and you would probably agree luffy isn't beating Akainu yet. Akainu is luffy's fated enemy.
