Any examples?
Well, in the pre TS Chopper was the first one. He was a special case in the beginning.
Then we had Lucci, who, thanks to his techniques, basically had two alternative hybrid forms: one much more massive and another one much more agile thanks to the Seimei Kikan.
Then we had some examples of "partial transformations" back in the MF arc, with Marco and possibly Lafitte transforming only parts of their bodies, but in the same way not going hybrid.
In the post-TS, we kept seeing those things, and at those we had to add Awakening. For example, now Lucci's awakened is even different from both his Seimei Kikan form and his original, massive hybrid.
The peak is the Nika Nika, of course, which, even not counting the Gears 2-4, in G5 can go from human to giant to any random form he wants (for example, the Genie form). And imho he's getting a destroyer Nika form too, now.
In this arc we had Killigham too. We saw his hybrid (he had hands and all, he was even bipedal), but then we saw another jack-like form in which he is half animal and half human.
