Imu basically seems to only care about his past acquaintances and their modern parallels (Davy Jones, Nika, Nidhogg, Lili and for some reason Shirahoshi), he barely seems to register the rest.
This is why I'm so excited to see Vivi show up on Elbaph.

Outside of the simping, I really have no idea how Imu will react to her. I wouldn't be surprised if started crying tears of actual joy, considering he was smiling fondly while calling Nidhoggr a traitor.

IMO, Imu is a classic villain that got what they wanted, and can't admit that they kind of fucking hate it.

Imu had no reason to care about the other pirates until Roger find the Laugh Tale and started the Pirate Age. He cared about Xebec because Xebec killed an Admiral, destroyed the gate of justice and walk through his room and then left saying that he will return.
He wants to flood the world and kill everyone. There's really no reason he couldn't have just spent 15 minutes killing everyone on GV who attacked him, or at least DRing more people(which he canonically can do).

The way Imu set the situation up, Xebec could have escaped when his DR ended. The fact that he didn't wasn't really a factor Imu could have considered.

@soupongo We still have 0 explanation for how Reuven was permakilled in demon form by DR Gunko (who wasn't even strong enough to become a HK yet), even though it was clearly shown in Elbaf that DR victims revert to normal when killed.
You think there's any chance Reuven is still alive? I've gone back and forth on it. The troops told Brook he died, but we never saw a corpse.

The only "corpse" we saw was Domi Reuven, so, he shouldn't have been dead, since he was in Domi.

He left the Holy Knights behind to clean up.
Garling is the one who killed Xebec.

meanwhile you have real human beings who will say Elbaf is one of the best OP arcs because Sanji got a parallel and an asspull powerup

Imu does seem to imply gaban in his old age rn is in fact > what he was at god valley . Makes you question a lot of things . At the very least old legends are closer to prime than we think but also confirms they didn’t peak at god valley
They didn't have the experience in fighting the Holy Knights, they gained that experience after taking Shanks from God Valley.

That also upscales Oden and WB since they somehow matched with more powerful Roger pirates for 3 days and nights pitched battle.
