It's also crazy that WB and Oden managed to match a more powerful Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban for 3 days and nights pitched battle. Oda could make an excuse like Roger pirates were weakened for some reason but he didn't.

After Roger died, WB was called WSM, and Oden matched Kaido+his army for a reason.

I think the main difference is the mastery of haki mass that Roger and Garp mentioned in GV, which seemed to have been what made Xebec so distinguished from the two.
