After Imu stabbed Luffy, everywhere on tiktok and twitter, people were laughing at him, they all ate up the same plot point Oda has been using since forever

Oda will always have Luffy lose at first, then have him eat meat, then win the fight

That is why one piece is boring, its predictable but for some reason one piece fans keep falling for the same trick over and over again, what is wrong with them?

Maybe cuz each Arc is written for the new 16 year olds; it's not like it's aiming to change the formula to match growth of old readers.
1997 One Piece was written for those born around 1981,
2026 One Piece is written for those born around 2010,

At least that's the aim, regardless of successful or not, and it does contain few other stuff to attract wider range of readers & older fans,
But the core audience are youngsters, that's why the formula doesn't change,

In case you haven't noticed, go check the reaction of SHs when Luffy declared his Secret Dream, those almost 20 or older either found it weirdly shocking or hilarious & crazy, but Chopper who is 17 years old clearly loved it so much instantly, that scene alone summarizes everything about the goal of this Manga, it's simply the fantasy of a 16-17 year old Oda (Which happens to be when He started his job),

The Formula will never change.

One Piece fans are definitely stupid because you have people like @Topi Jerami still doubting Gaban's strength even when he performed this crazy feat last chapter and Imu needed to use his 2nd form in result.

Gaban definitely had better feats against Imu but later part is unnecessary.

I'm sure Oda simply wanted to give an old legend some great respect after he was done but it doesn't make Gaban's feat less impressive imo.

But he already won the exchange, Gaban lost his hand mid battle, Imu took little damage from the attack to Entire fall damage alongside adam tree. He could have recovered just fine like he did with Loki's attack.
