how is playing the game, making reads, creating interactions etc.. not helping resolve my slot?
this is the bear bones of playing the social deduction game known as mafia. every player in the world should be readable by threadplay. i am the 5th top poster with over 120 posts, plenty of which are alignment indicative

And, this isn't your traiditional mafia which relies heavily on social deduction. This is ToL. It relies more on mechanics.
As I said earlier, let's assume you are town and others here are horrible and they are totally wrong about your slot but regardless of this they think you are scum.
But then you are willing to not clear air around you until you are on trial. You are willing to waste entire day for town. You are willing to even risk sacrificing a town slot assuming you are town.
You are willing to waste entire day under the pretext "town must learn hard way". This is BS ekko.
This is you playing as per your convenience. This is anti town play.
Claiming during trial is very convenient act which scum often throw at town. People can't refute or discuss your claim. They have to say guilty or innocent. Infact, this is actually a way to fish Information.
Let's say a scum goes on trial. He fakes claim a very strong town role. Any other town role would immediately buy it and will say innocent. Only that town role will say guilty who would be having that strong town role. And, if no one says guilty then that scum gets a fake claim to roll through.
No town will be willing to refuse claim until trial. Only scum does
