Use of slurs

I realize that this isn't an "American" forum and doesn't necessarily default on sensibilities just because English is the common language. However, I'm addressing rampant use of the R-word. As a black man and advocate for persons with disabilities, have to say there's a clear double standard between R and N. It's unwelcoming, regressive, immature, and strictly pejorative. It's tone deaf to demean the neurodivergent on a manga forum, and unbelievable in the case of a forum where at least one prominent member had committed suicide due to online bullying.

I've seen gag edits like "Super" Sommers so it seems very obvious to use this or another easy solution.

I do agree on this but at the same time I think this is just the nature of language and how it progresses over time. Keep in mind, "idiot" "moron" and "imbecile" all have similar origins to ret**d, but have been repurposed into essentially just meaning "stupid/dumbass". That being said, I still try not to say it too much, because unlike the other words I've mentioned, people seem far more resistant to changing the meaning of it. So I'll abide by their rules, just like I do my best not to say the b word since I'm not a woman.
