I wonder if a lot of people will give up on Doffy ever breaking out of ID if it doesn’t happen before the next arc (Lodestar or Laugh Tale) starts.

Also, didn’t Oda pretty much confirm that Doffy would have a ~1B bounty when he gave Luffy and Law a combined bounty of 1B when they beat him?

i've seen some of them (mostly sanjikun) cope that "these were the dressrosa era bounties, they don't reflect current bounties" even though oda very deliberately made it so that characters with a bounty of 1B and above were seen as the next big thing and that anyone without one (like Doffy) was strong, but not enough to be a legitimate threat
doffy isn't just randomly getting a far bigger bounty than <1B because "he knows the treasure of Mariejois" or whatever

i also find it funny that people like sanjikun brag about how doffy's implied bounty in dressrosa is bigger than sabo's when it's a 300M difference and this is fruitless sabo's bounty

like i said, oda obviously chose to make doffy's bounty below 1B to show that he was just the start of the new world. he was strong, no doubt, but there's going to be bigger threats from there on. that's what he was saying, and this is directly shown to us by multiple characters (i.e luffy hyping up katakuri for his 1B bounty and marco saying king and queen being so tough makes sense as they have bounties over 1B), so i'm not sure why doffy fans try to hard to deny that he was meant to be powercliffed right after dressrosa ended

Just being the RHM of the man who’s supposed to have the highest bounty should be enough to guarantee a billion+ bounty. Sabo has been active on the seas for way longer than Ace but only has a 10% larger bounty for some dumb reason. That’s why I think it was just some random idiot assistant who gave him that bounty in the VC and Oda just signed off on it because he probably just skims through the VCs and doesn’t really care that much about them

oda hasn't shown enough to warrant calling him that, imo. up until the reverie he never did anything that royally screwed over the world government, and the only wg/marines associate that seems to care about him enough is sakazuki

Remember when Doffy told Magellan that the WG would send assassins after him? Everyone was theorizing for a while that we would see Lucci attempt to assassinate Doffy because of that, but it just ended up being a throwaway line

huffing the fumes from magellan's poisonous diarrhea seeping out the bathroom for months has driven him insane and made him start hallucinating that people are after him

Doffy’s only beef with the CDs is that he doesn’t get to be one of them, he doesn’t really deserve any catharsis
There’s plenty of characters who should know even more than Doffy does, so we don’t really need him for exposition
Croc, Moria, and Lucci were all pre-TS villains. Kuma had a very clearly unresolved plot

Well, hopefully Magellan takes care of Doffy during the evacuation, but that doesn't really translate into doing anything in the story. Even a little seastone on him prevents Doffy from doing anything.
