So...
1. A retcon is just a tool. It's not good or bad by defaut. Yes Oda retcon our ideas of the fruit of Luffy, but you have to understand (at least if you want to grasp the deepness of the story) that this retcon was absolutely NOT negative. In fact, it is one of the most amazing feet of Oda in the entirerity of the story. (I'm not even glazin, it's legit incredible on a narrative standpoint). I won't explain why, did that numbers of time already.
THere have been a LOT of foreshadowing and a LOT of hints. Thematicallly, visually, narratively, all.
Another person who didn't understand Yamato's character arc... Same, I already explained multiple time. So much that I even predicted explained to a laughing audience what he would do at the end of Wano the MOMENT he encountered Luffy. For the rest, there is absolutely no problem with Yamato being introduced late. In fact is quite ok, it creates a fresh point of interest in the arc and recontextualize Kaido and Onigashima's story.
Shanks wasn't placed here to promote a movie, but to prepare the end of the story. Shanks needed to be in this place at this moment. As for the Admiral, he did plenty. It wasn't anticlimatic at all (well unless if you take the configuration of the arc in consideration but it's not a negative), it served a nice character moment for Momo. As usual with people here, it is your own illegitimate expectations speaking. Oda never promised you that the guy would be as important as Shanks, you created that expectation yourself.
In the New World, Admirals are foes with characterization, they are not incredible unbeatable walls of charisma like Blackbeard was in Paradise.
Stop pushing the expectations beyond the limits of the story aand you will enjoy everything again.
It was not hinted because it didn't need to be. It should be self-explanatory. Tama was one of the very few character that gave Linlin full unconditionnal attention and care in a moment of vulnerability. Once Big Mom got her memory back, that reciprocity didn't dissapear, so Big Mom replied with the same attention and kindness. Well, in her twisted way of course.
This is why there is such a difference. But technically, there is not many, the attitude of Tama simply pushed Big Mom to have a more cuter and overprotective approach to the little girl. But Big Mom didn't become suddenly less toxic. The Mama mode, is something that was already hinted at in chapter 845, just not in the cute over-protective way. This is not something that needed to be shown, you are supposed to expect that behavior from Big Mom at one point or another. It's Big "MOM".
No, there is no tease of Zoro's background, random names are not teases, they are worldbuilding deepness.. In fact there are no special teases of character arc at all for Zoro (even if there is technically a continuation of his existing one)
To be teased, such backgroeund would have needed to be clearly stated as in "there is a mystery in your lineage". If there is no mystery, there is no reason to bring it up. Zoro is not some special orphan by blood. He is simply the descendant of a Wano lineage, that's all.
People who think Zoro should have a special story because he is the descendant of Ryuma completely negate the point of his entire character arc and characterization, being that Zoro 1. Do not care about stuff like that, 2. Consider that his OWN strengh should be central in his growth, not derivative a something like the Hito Hito no mi for example (which Luffy doesn't really have a problem with)
This was just the promise to pay his respect to the grave. Which he did by chosing to give back the sword of the country. But more, there isn't really a reason to show Zoro pay his respect outside of ... well just paying his respect. Oda must have considered that it wouldn't be really interesting and I agree. We already know everything there is to know. The respect scene in Thriller Bark served a special purpose for Brook and Zoro accepting him as a fellow swordman in the crew and a point of transition for the characters.
There was already a transition for Zoro, no need for more.
Which is a good thing, as I explained manytime before.

Pokemon peaked with Black2/White2 after that it became a shitshow, Black/White2 actually Top 10 game of all time and after that we got multiple 6/10 games in a row.
if Pokemon is smart just copy Palworld and make it better, dont get me wrong Palworld is good but its just a blueprint, you can make it so much better if you combine the Pokemon formula with what Palworld brought to the table.
