This Zoro Sommers thing proves a theory I’ve had about Sword fights

Oda doesn’t want lethality to matter in Sword fights

The reason why Zoro is always cutting the Swords of the people he fights is so that Oda can prove Zoro “Overpowered” them.

This would be fine if not for the fact that Sword lethality doesn’t require “overpowering”. Unlike how Punches and Kicks work in the manga, swords multiply the about of AP you are using outside of your strength.

zoro can kill Sommers without Breaking Gram, the mythical top tier sword. Because Zoro has a fucking sword and speed blitzing exists and his sword has way more lethality than Sommers’ body.

instead Oda has Zoro MISS Sommers’ heart so that Zoro has to “OVERPOWER” Gram to win. Even though Zoro can blitz and kill Sommers, the Story wants Zoro to cut Gram in half to “Prove” Zoro is tougher
