Idk, the fact he had legitimate reasons just to reject them all & fought only for hate made him a better villain to me. No reservations, no redemption, just a bad guy doing bad things

I love Hody's character.
He's cheap all the way through.
No actual motivation for his hatred.
No real power, and has to use drugs to even be a threat.
No respect for his own people.
He wants to destroy and hides his inclination with thinly-veiled historical excuses.
He learned nothing from his people's past, becoming the very puppet the WG would gladly use in their justification as to why fishmen are inferior.
Where Otohime and Fisher Tiger pursued peace with opposite means, Hody chose war at any cost. He's the variable neither Otohime nor Tiger had predicted, because he's a lost cause without a shred of reason, the born-rotten type who can't be saved by either system.
He is pathetic by design. I just wish Oda had given him more of a bite simply to make him more memorable with larger audiences, but the amount of power he has is fit for what he represents.
