According to the canon, Loro and Sanji are equal (Sanji is even slightly stronger), so if Loro becomes stronger than Lolhawk, then Sanji should become stronger than a comparable character. Who will it be? Kuzan?

Like the narrative is hinting, Sommers is undoubtedly in the category of "weak" here and is gonna be shown exactly that.
The problem though is that Sommers defeat here is tied to Imu so him getting merked here seems very untimely in retrospect.
If Sommers death here had no effect on Imu then I can see an argument for Oda using this fight as a training wheel of sorts for Zoro to get him up to speed with the intent of having him join the fight against Imu but right now there's no need for Zoro to join that fight with Imu currently on the backfoot. Plus why even nerf Imu here when he's currently on the backfoot?

Everything is possible while Oda is mad that Zoro outvoted Luffy in 6 out of 8 regions and I doubt it passed him yet.

Depends on how much Imu suffers from contract wielder's death/defeat, it can be done.
The problem with Zoro joining Imu fight is that he thematically doesnt fit atm, Luffy and Loki are huge and Zoro is tiny.
Imu scales to size of the opponent, we saw it with Loki and Luffy/Gaban.
Loki cannot downsize so Luffy will probably resort to giant mode so Imu also can grow big to even it out.
Zoro cannot change size so Imu would have to shrink which creates problems while fighting the other two, unless Oda gives Imu some alone time with Zoro while the other two are down...
