Yeah, no. Just compare Mahito and Sommers. Both have a pathetic ending, assuming this is it for bummers, but the two characters are night and day in comparison. Mahiro is wayyy scarier and more compelling that this garbage we got.
Who the F is mahito in One Piece ?

You're replying to someone who argues for the sake of arguing, and not because he has something actually relevant to say.
 *

* It's always relevant.

Oda’s depiction of queer people is absolutely terrible
In this case yes, but gladly, an author can learn and there is more than one representation in One Piece

"No... gonna steal it back..."

Finally, a semi-spicy lore chapter. It's been a bit.

To begin with, I'm pretty sure that's Shamrock next to Gunko in the flashback with Imu stating they need to turn Elbaph's army into slaves. This is furthering the Shamrock/Harald relationship we've only seen teased and Shamrock's connection to the former king.

Next, I think we can see Gunko's Arrow Fruit begin to flounder due to her emotional state: if you look at her sword in the panel where Brook is singing to her, it's loose and badly made: her emotional state is literally affecting control of her Devil Fruit, here.

The spoilers made it sound like Gunko was fleeing, but, here, she's standing her ground.

I believe we'll see Brook vs Gunko, and Brook's Awakening shortly, a fight I've been hyping for a bit.

We can see her Mark/Seal "stinging" her... I believe that accepting her own memories is literally painful for Shuri, due to her curse. This could also be related to her Bipolar Eyes, which we know little of.

Next, I find it interesting that Killingham actually asks Sanji what's wrong... like, this guy has been seriously fighting a God's Knight for a while, and now he's suddenly screaming over what now?

Also, this says so much about Sanji: man is near death and what is his fear? MEMORIES OF IVANKOV.

Man cannot face himself, and that's the problem with his CoC. The only enemy Sanji runs from is himself. Even his own father, who terrorized him, got the business before using women as shields.

Killingham is LITERALLY STABBING HIM TO death and Sanji is like "OH NO, NOT MY PERSONAL WEAKNESS, I THOUGHT I SEALED THESE MEMORIES".

That is a crazy amount of self hatred.

I've been pushing the idea that Killingham will be an ally in the future, and I think this is the beginning of it: IMO, the food the Celestial Dragons eat is soul-less. the Yoncooks are elite, to be sure, but... it's food cooked from fear, not food cooked from love.

I think Killingham is a Gin in the making, and will be kidnapped after this arc... and Sanji will feed him, food of love, the first real meal Killingham has had in years, when he's hungry and in the dirt.

Since Killingham clearly has non-human features, I believe, like Sanji, Killingham was bullied horrendously as a child, and became strong to overcome this, hence his racist attitude. Due to his comments on Fish-Men, I would not be surprised if he was part Fish-Man.

IMO, Shamrock was probably the one to reach out to him: I think Shamrock is probably well-liked amongst the God's Knights, and, like Shanks, is good to his co-workers.

Gunko has shown a remarkable level of disdain towards Sommers and Killingham at times, while more or less worshipping the ground Shamrock walked on when dealing with Loki. I don't think that's a coincidence, I think Shanks really rubbed off on Shamrock and made him a better individual.

I also believe Gunko helped teach Shamrock swordplay when he grew up, so, I'm interested to see how he will handle her betrayal, as I think Shamrock views Gunko like an aunt, almost. Shuri/Gunko will help us understand Shamrock's character more going forward.

“Shanks is the greatest Haki user this setting has ever seen. In his intro he physically damaged Whitebeards ship with just his haki alone. Nobody has done this before or since!!!”

Zoro shakes and damages a ship that makes Whitebeards ship look like a refugee raft.

It is enough to make a grown man cry. To see my boy finally graduate the school of Haki wizardry, I thought I would never see the day!

:zosmug::zosmug::zosmug::zosmug::zosmug::zosmug::zosmug:
Did anyone ever do such damage?
If this gets a CoC walk it will break the internet

I'm not sure how old Killingham is, but he's definitely still pretty young, I wager. And I dare say he's probably never really encountered anyone who could hurt him like Sommers has in the past. Ironically, that's making him fight better against Sanji because he doesn't yet realize he's about to be abruptly defeated, whereas Sommers knows what it feels like and that Zoro will happily kill him.
There's truth to this, but at the same time there's also the fact that he'd be right under normal circumstances. Pretty much no crew has a third CoC user, the idea for him probably only exists in horror stories about Roger or Joyboy.

Once Sanji awakens he'll go running with tears in his eyes just the same

Sommers is one of the most evil beings we've ever met in this manga.
The Knights are ruthless, but Oda portayed Sommers as even more vile than average.
That's why I think he will not take away the killing blow from the audience, in this special case...

My guess is that the big crash was Zoro pinning Sommers to the ground, maybe cutting him in half to immobilize him.
Zoro will kill Sommers later, in the same moment Sanji kills Killingham, so that Imu will feel the effect of 2 Knights dying at the same time.

How will Zoro spend that time? I think he might question Sommers now that he's harmless.
Maybe about Vivi. Strawhats still think she's being held captive by the World Governament...

What shocks me here is less the portrayal of trans people and more the fear of Sanji. And I believe this fear is much deeply rooted than we may think.

I've been a strong advocate of the idea that Sanji has been pushing down a part of himself, something that was let free here:

To what degree.. I don't know. Perhaps it's something else, but I think his self-sacrificial behavior is partly bonded with a deeper belief.

Oda rarily do things without a purpose.
