You have a brawler who can stretch endlessly.
You have a swordsman who can grow extra limbs and heads.
You have a kicker who can spontaneously combust.
Each with a distinctive fighting style to never make any fight boring, both for the artist and for the reader, and what do you do with it?
You toss any difference aside and give all three the same fucking psychologically-based lightning power-up.
Bravo, Oda.
Truly a genius move.

Sommers is pathetic. I don't think there's a more pathetic character ever introduced in OP. This is embarrassing. And it's this late in the series to boot where we're supposed to get compelling villains and what not, this is such a disappointment.
Yeah Sommers ended up way too goofy to be threatening and a great villain

Being a bit goofy is okay, it’s one piece we’re talking about but here it’s quite too much

Sommers acts as a catharsis. The point is not to give you a villain who can fight but the complete opposite. A coward, a man you will only want to see slashed away with disdain.

Sometimes, battles don't always have to be about tension, they can have different purpose. This one is to give you the pleasure to see a fascist scream in despair, again and again.

Yeah, no. Just compare Mahito and Sommers. Both have a pathetic ending, assuming this is it for bummers, but the two characters are night and day in comparison. Mahiro is wayyy scarier and more compelling that this garbage we got.

It’s very unlike Oda in the sense that he didn’t really “hype” whatever was actually in the chest

You’d think there would be some kind of crazy “shocked” expression when they open it but they look more confused than anything, at least to me
They called it a tool too, the use of it may not be clear to them till they read the note, but Imu recognize it immediately)

You're replying to someone who argues for the sake of arguing, and not because he has something actually relevant to say.

So...
JB left his story at LT, the haki knot (or knots) in and/or around old allies for future use, and likely was behind the concealment of the AW.

Lili scattered the ponegliphs with the True History, left that letter to her family, likely was behind the naming of Amazon Lily, and now this. The Elbaf box. Maybe this is her equivalent of the knots: a tool that can only be used by someone on her side against the enemy, just like how JB's haki only repelled IMU and the yokai, without harming the humans and giants present at EH.
