Nah, I think Kishimoto misses being in the game & genuinely knows Boruto has been a blight on Naruto’s reputation. He needed to fix it somehow and coming out of retirement to do his own sequel series is the perfect way to accomplish that.

I did not think Moro was a good arc, a good antagonist, or very interesting, after the New Namek encounter. The arc really fumbles after the intro and every new element feels contrived with Moro eventually turning into Perfect Cell Super Buu
