They don't really care about him

They hate Sanji and try to shit on him as much as possible. They hate the character, so they don't have any investment, they are insecure about Zoro and desperately have to shit on Sanji for superiority(?). It's too early to say this, but I have a real concern that Oda is going to run with this drama of Shuri the damsel and completely neglect Brooke as a victim. He might still get something cheap and even tangible, like a "buff" but we're probably done with his actual character already

Because Sanji sacrificed himself for the crew on WCI? robin did the same at water 7. Same trauma and she ain't suicidal or whatever the fuck.
Sanji puts himself in danger? Yeah it's a battle manga everyone risked their lives multiple times.
