And Sanji has disdain for being Vinsmoke, only difference is that Shanks didn't have to be raised by his family or abused. If he had his self hate would be equal to or worse than Sanji's just by the fact he already hated himself for it.
Mate what even is your point? Shanks and Sanji hating their families is just a similarity they share, their psychological profiles aren’t carbon copies of each other.
“If the figarlands abused shanks he would be just like sanji”
Okay? But he wasn’t, and isn’t.
But even if he was, how did Gaban psychoanalyse him minutes after meeting him lol

Then oda should have focused on this.

Oda should have stated that Sanji can't use coc because he is not accepting himself which is VINSMOKE.

He literally asked zoro to kill him in wano if his personality changes to that of his brothers whom were VINSMOKE

HE LITERALLY TOLD LAW HE HATES THE FACT THAT THE INVISIBILITY THAT HE ALWAYS WANTED WAS OBTAINED THROUGH VINSMOKE TECHNOLOGY.

HE DESTROYED HIS OWN RAID SUIT BECAUSE HE WAS NOT ACCEPTING OF HIS VINSMOKE LINEAGE AND THEIR TECH

The same sanji interpreted him loving himself as ridding himself of everything vinsmoke.

Oda should have focused on sanji coming to terms with this and understand that just because he is a vinsmoke doesn't mean he is like the rest of his family. Focus on the sacrifice of his mother. Focus on the fact that his mom's.love is why he can't attack women.

Have sanji come to terms with this and accept himself and then get coc

Because this time he has no choice. He can’t save the kids and women without defeating Killingham. He can’t defeat Killingham without CoC. He can’t get CoC without actually dealing with himself.

This is the only time it was written as a necessity. Even if he died all those other times before, the people he saved would’ve been safe. But not this time.
??? Vegapunk died because he couldn't do anything against Kizaru and Saturn.

Sanji hating his family is a good thing. They literally commit genocides for money and are trying to conquer 25% of the world. They even recently teamed up with child kidnapper/drugger Ceasar.

Is Oda trying to say Sanji is wrong to hate them? Is Shanks also wrong for hating celestial dragons like Garling and Charlos? Like what is even Oda's point here? Blood relations suddenly matters more than anything else?

The tension in Wano wasn't exactly much better :willight:

Let's not get too crazy
No, man, Wano was way better for tension and fight quality. Or are you going to tell me that Loki, Hajrudin, and Luffy against Imu is better than the Rooftop? No, the Rooftop was way better. Or are you going to tell me that Zoro versus Sommers or Sanji versus Killingham is better than Zoro versus King or Sanji versus Queen?

If sanji could dodge everything but chooses not to cuz he is into BDSM he could've taken him to safety, and saved someone his captain promised safety to.
Also vegapunk didn't want necessarily to die, he was ready to die which is different, and had a whole setup about it.
Still convinced it's not bad writing?
Don’t argue with that brother I can’t prove it but oda is filling his bank account biweekly

It was established that you can look at someone and deduce their personality and have unrestricted access to their private psychological profile/ tendencies? Please show me I must’ve missed it
It says in the panel that some observation haki users are able to read people’s emotions or at least get a good sense of them.

If you don’t like it that’s fine but don’t look for a reason for it to be bad. All you do is expose your inherent bias

You’re very clearly looking for a reason to complain so there’s really nothing I can say to help you, have at it

Honestly at this point both options are bad:
- answers NOW = rushed ending, too many plot points to conclude, no one is going to be happy
- ok, no rushed ending = snail pacing + break weeks

I've re-read some of the post-TS arcs after some time passed so that I didn't have to wait for weekly dose of 1 minute of OP and they feel much better that way. That being said, I still can't bring myself to re-reading Wano, that's how much that arc traumatized me. I think Elbaph will be much better in a re-read (although that Lego castle BS was such a let down, I was excited for easy blue 5 for nothing, but whatever).
