Spoiler One Piece Chapter Spoiler 1196 Spoilers Discussion

We have to go step by step because this is extreme cope.
First, while it's true that different people process things differently, this is still a story, in which people expect certain emotional moments to hold weight. What was WCI for if sanji is still suicidal? Does Luffy words mean nothing to him?
Second, from spoilers it seems sanji has no self worth, which makes him getting hit by these okamas when he could've not apparently.
What does it entail? Self harm? He fights recklessly? (who doesn't in the sh? Luffy is half dead half the story) he sacrifices himself for others? (who doesn't in the strawhats?)
How is it a weak point? Is it always active even when he fights for his crew? (almost his every fight?)
Again, this is just too much. Trauma ok, giving him a new retroactive character flaw without explaining it or giving examples is just stating something and retconning a character way too late in the story, stripping tensions from his serious developments.
A few sanji fans, less coping about it than you, are already trying to set things straight (he fights too recklessly, he doesn't get hurt on purpose) but I fear it might be the second from the spoilers, which is nothing short of character assasination
Sanji isn't suicidal. He just doesn't care enough about himself. Different people do similar things for different reasons. Luffy fights recklessly because he's a hothead, while Sanji sometimes does it because of an internal conflict. We're learning things about this character that align with what's pre-established. It's basic character writing, there are no retcons here.

This isn't new, it tracks with what we've seen of Sanji up to this point. Of course, a child hated by his family for his supposed "genetic inadequacy" would develop low self worth, which psychologically can manifest in the form of self punishment among other things. We know Sanji puts himself in the line of fire in more ways than one, often. Why he does it can certainly include this reason and other reasons . When this manifests isn't the concern. Sanji may get hit because he want's to or simply because he got hit. He may put himself in harm's way for many reasons, and this may be one of them. He's self sacrificial, but not for just one reason. People are more complex than that.

So sanji would've not saved his nakamas had he not been low self worth?
You understand you're taking things that happen in every high stakes battle in a manga and elevating as something only sanji does which justifies oda rewriting the same character arc because he is not sure how to use sanji in the story?
Now he won't sacrifice himself for nami swan anymore? Something tells me he will

Mf nobody asked Zoro how he lost his eye and you expect them to have therapy sessions with each other about intimate psychological tendencies
Yes, they only focus on current days problems.

They are actually more aware of side arc characters problems and their internal struggle

They are more like co-workers

Because wdym your core member is struggling with self love, go out his way to harm himself yet you are going island to island to save random princess you encountered

You right, with better translation this misconception about him will be cleared.
For my understanding he doesn't value his life that much and doesn't care if he is getting hurt when fighting

I already told you that people do things for multiple reasons. So, he may put himself in harm’s way because he loves a Nakama, but in his mind, he is of less value. The reason he does it is love, but there’s also an underlying feeling of low self-worth. Of course, he’ll fight for Nami, but he’s removing that self destructive and limiting aspect of his psyche.

Strawhats are only together for less than a year

Sanji spent more time with the LGTBq
& Zoro spent more time with perona

Ok. So sanji has this extreme character flaw revelead which did not prompt a single moment that is differentiable from caring about his friends.
You understand this is the DEFINITION of narrative fluff? Stating, but not showing.
