You can try Transformers Prime cartoon 2010.

It is a 3D but shit is good. Probably the best version of Megatron too imo.

Generally i wouldn't say that SS is smarter but he is more cunning which can give him an edge ig.

From what I know Animated Megs is pretty scary, so's IDW and the Combiner Wars version as well.

Honestly that G1 cartoon hung Meg and Shockers out to dry, completely toothless the both of them.
