Destroying significant historic monuments instead of preserving them. The reality is that these "french" scumbags are plain hooligans that simply find ways to destroy stuff. If they really wanted change instead of destroying public domain , they should have targeted gov people. But of course they don't have the cojones, because they know the moment they would touch a politician the politician would care to find who did what.. They only want chaos..
Without monuments , scripture and everything else they will destroy in their rage and looting you don't have history and culture.
If they want real change and not just smash things for the sake of it ,painting your hands with blood is the only solution.. But of course the blood must not be that of the "plebs" . Actually you do. A monument is a building. Things can be recorded by science outside of the materiality of the world and sometimes, that destruction can be seen as legitimate. In the case of France, monuments in many ways are associated to the colonial, imperialist and authoritative history of France, so their destruction while saddenning for some, is sometimes necessary.

Most people just walked around from point A to point B and went home.
There are also people who walked on unauthorized streets and got "very close" to Macron's location. Including different kinds of behaviors depending on the individuals concerned. It goes from looting different shops, to burning stuff, to throwing rocks/fireworks on the police, to just blocking some streets. These are the people who will be shown 24/7 on live tv and on mainstream news outlets.
There is a fun video about cops talking to each other about some protesters who got inside the Elysée (where the president lives and works) but nothing more was posted. So this information is uncertain even if it was posted by a news outlet.

Literally three weeks that anyone more left than Macron has been preparing for this. My social media feed was somehow full of calls to protest and how to protect themselves from the police. I literally had nothing else but this. No reels about funny animals, nothing about redbull doing stupid shit, no skit and really all of it was concerning october 17th. Algorithm was on complete fire.
For context, it has all started in late September by high-school protests asking for more funds for their schools on top of other reforms to get access to university and other needs to. It's a left-wing movement. Everyone from Macron to the far-right is against the protest. Everyone from Macron's left to the far-left are supporting the protests as long as they're peaceful.
There have been maimed teens who lost their hand or eye in the past weeks in these protests. Obviously other kinds of violences too committed by the police mostly who have ended up arresting 6.000 minors which is literally a national historical record bigger than the yellow jackets movement.
All of that police violence with all the contempt shown by Macron himself has escalated into yesterday's result. Macron wouldn't listen to what teens were asking for. There hasn't been any dialogue. Instead he chose to maim them.
Yesterday wasn't only a teen protest. Adults were there too. Because the movement is escalating with what is called : convergence of struggles.
I believe that this level of damage concerning goods was extremely foreseeable. There were so many people marching that there was obviously gonna be a proportionate amount of people doing whatever illegal. I believe Macron is letting the protest grow as big as it can because he thinks himself as a mastermind. He believes it will be useful to his candidate who is probably gonna be his former prime minister : Edouard Philippe. But that's not the only explanation of this horrible population management.
