Depends, they mightve learned their lesson from Veilguard.
Veilguard almost didnt launch.
shit ton of production issues.
etc.
People have to stop looking at these companies that have a few lucky games and calling them goats.
ME3 had a shit ton of problems at launch, DA2 same thing.
Their "goat" games were DAO and ME 1-2.
And those were mostly accidents, especially DAO.
so much that they released a completely broken PC version that crashes every 2 minutes and never bothered fixing it.
gotta find some mod patch for that.
DAI was their last great game, but was also vastly different from DAO, and followed the trend from ME instead.

I don’t disagree, ME3 wasn’t as good as 1-2. Origins was great I played it on Xbox and it ran smoothly so I can’t say about the PC port. Never played Inquisition or 2.

A story is only as good as it’s ending.
It's not that simple, the Quarians x Geth conflict resolution was decent, the Krogan x Salarians resolution was great, the Turians resolution was great as well, the Protheans lore was cool, Garrus/Liara's development was great as well, huge improvment in gun fire gameplay and the classes powers, they really improved the ability tree

Now what actually sucked was the Ashley/Kaidan poor role in story, Kai Leng cringe ass role, ME2 crewmembers basically nonexistent, most boss fights sucks, and the whole Reapers explanation in the end is ridiculous because it's clear that the boy(Reaper) is trying to manipulate you

People use black and white takes about ME3 but it's not that. It has negative points but it has more positive points

Which they fixed after a shit ton of complains on how lame it was to have the same ending no matter your choices in a series that was praised for the choices mattering.
:kayneshrug:

DA2 had a good story, but the game itself was such a downgrade from origins.
they moved from the tactical crpg style, to a more hack n slash approach, no more choosing your race, only human.
story reduced to a single city instead of an entire country, etc.
The issue with Thedas is that the Blights are basically the coolest "calamity" that you can use in any dragon age game. The "mage/templar" feud simply is not compelling enough to carry an entire game. No wonder it was just one of the sidequests in Origins.
It feels more like a background issue than the actual main plot.

Also, larpers will tell you DAV failed because "woke".
What larpers dont know, is that BioWare was extremely "woke" from the get go with its lgbtq+ representation. in both ME and DA.

DAV sucks because the story sucks and the dialogues feel like they were written by your average twitter/tumblr user instead of normal human beings.

The fact the dialogue lines looks like average twitter/tumblr user is EXACLY why it's woke, dude. It's pure wokism.
I was there, buddy.
Luckily most people brains weren't rotten to their core to spam this "woke" bs.
But since DAO people "complain" about the gay/bi romances.
:kobeha:

Game of the year has an entire scene of a companion confronting their father because he isn't accepted for being gay. But the way the scene plays out and the dialogue is written is good. In DAV, it's bad.

I fucking hate this "woke revisionism".

No it's not that, i know you're trying to make of fun of me but listen...

There's a difference on having LGBT characters in a game and scenes with explicit, ideologically-charged dialogues.

In ME3 both Samantha and Cortez and gay characters but you don't see ideologically-charged dialogues by them. In DAV, the dialogues lines are containing gratuitous ideology. You yourself said it looks like a twitter/tumblr user account behavior so you're not ignorant, you know what i'm talking, but since i know you're on a certain political aspect, you’re going to try to separate these things in order to disagree with me, and that's fine.
