So judging by the spoilers one chapter cover also one episode of the Ace novel and as I remember correctly Ace episode a had 3 chapters.

It's more or less chapter 1 from Novel Ace Vol. 1. Or the part that was published in One Piece Magazine Vol. 1 a few years ago.

Chapter 1 adapts novel chapter 1 too, until Ace and Masked Deuce leave SIXIS island. Shirohige appears at the end with Thatch.

Surreal seeing arguably canon work in someone else's artstyle lol.

While its not something I personally want, it'll be interesting to see how much Jump decides to make side-stories out of Oda's work that will be adapted by others.
