Well, that’s about as definitive as it gets...so much for Elbaf, I just don’t see any way we get an entire arc there before everything heats up. Maybe it’ll factor in to this “greatest battle ever”
Or maybe Elbaf IS Laugh Tale :smart:
Either way, I have to wonder how this will affect the pacing...land of giants or not, Oda’s got an extremely daunting task ahead of him to tie up all the loose endings he left as they pertain to the overarching narrative.

Listen, I’m as skeptical of Artur as the next guy, but if this is coming from an SBS, how badly could he mistranslate it? To the point that a question regarding Franky’s favorite food comes out reading like the conclusion to the series?

oda said luffys journey is over in 5 years
artur took that as the story ends in 5 years
but the story doesnt end when luffy is pirate king

I don’t like it...but it makes me think that Luffy’s gonna get the credit for defeating Kaido AND Big Mom, catapulting him to the top of the OP world in terms of reputation, and then he’ll just fall ass backwards into finding Laugh Tale before the rest of the series plays out. I don’t know, none of this really adds up well.

He will, but since the beginning Luffy's goal has always been to find the One Piece, so from this point of view this the end of his journey. I mean, maybe Luffy could find the One Piece after the final war and having fought the WG, but that'll be really weird imo, especially judging by Whitebeard words during marineford.

The goal of Luffy and Roger is to be tye freest man in the world. The Pirate King title means to bw the freest man im the world to Luffy.

In order to do that, the World Government must be taken down. So ultimately, Luffy will take out the World Government to be free.

There are better translations out now. Basically Oda is saying that's when the story of "One Piece" the treasure will end, and we'll find out what it is. The entire final war happens after that

Also I have a conspiracy theory and I'm pretty sure Artur is just pretending to be able to speak Japanese and uses machine translations and early forum stuff like we get here and just rephrases it. All his videos come out 1-2 days after the first fan translation drops not after the raws come out
