Well Luffy clearly doesn't give a shit about the tama village so why should anyone else care.

Besides at least its consistent character wise for Luffy to enter slliances recklessly. But all these other guys are supposed to do what luffy says. Even if it's stupid. So why are they suddenly going against luffy now?

Didn't fuckin jinbe force luffy to ally with bege having known bege is an untrustworthy guy? What's his beef with drake then that he's so against this alliance?

I feel as though this sudden shift exists entirely to waste time with clashes

The SHs have always voiced their opinion to Luffy and expressed their concerns.

Drake is a known high ranking Beast Pirates member, and right now they're trying to beat them in battle. So it's common sense for them to be reluctant.

Crocodile case is different cuz he was punished by Luffy first then it took Jimbei and Ivankov to convince Luffy .

Remember this is casual X Drake who doesn't even want to fight Sanji and is also using his Full Zoan form, the worst form for combat.

He can't use Haki, he can't use any skill, insane limit on range of movement. Yet he dropped Sanji like a sack of shit.
