2- We do not know the conditions that Perosperos arrested them. Perosperos managed to arrest the entire vinsmokes family in an instant when they were off guard. Peros may have caught them off guard when they fought with the randons.

3- The fruit of Peros is quite hax. Caesar also knocked Luffy out with hax, this does not necessarily explain the level of power.

4- Brook and Chopper were already exhausted fighting other opponents

5- Katakuri was there, so he may have interfered

Based on this panel and with the way Perospero is talking, they did fight but like always it was off paneled. Even the anime showed us how the fight went down, if you want to believe them or not.

Katakuri never interfered, he knew that Perospero could easily take on Brook and Chopper with no problem.

Here is Katakuri sitting in chapter 876.

And here is still sitting in chapter 877 the same chapter that we see Brook and Chopper being restrained by Perospero.

Brook and Chopper are both strong yes, but Perospero was just on a whole different level. Some people have even said that Perospero might even be commander level and that he might also be stronger than Snack, so despite being a veteran he might actually be even above that but I personally don't think he's commander level.

I like the anime filler version because they show up why Brook and Chopper get overwhelmed by the power of Perospero very quickly and let be honest it make sense. Pedro is known for his speed and he even couldn´t hit Perospero, he get quickly stomp in the ground too and Pedro was back then above Brook and Chopper in my opinion. Later Brook even crying out that he was to weak and not strong enough, otherwise they could protect Pedro:

Perospero was to simple to far stronger then both and it make sense, we speak about a 700mio bounty dude who have both haki skills+mastery of his devilfruit(I even believe that he has awakening but that is worth to speak about it in other thread/discussion).
Even Capone with Big father was usually and couldn´t move because of Perospero candy power, people still underestimate Perospero.

It is interesting that Oda gave a way higher bounty to Prospero than he did to Daifuku and Oven, both being veteran too. It can't be explained by age alone since there's only a 2 years gap and three of them have been pirates for decade.

It is interesting that Oda gave a way higher bounty to Prospero than he did to Daifuku and Oven, both being veteran too. It can't be explained by age alone since there's only a 2 years gap and three of them have been pirates for decade.

Not only that but also he have more bounty then the 4th Sweet commander Snack(600mio).

I can kind of understand both sides, on one hand we shouldn't underestimate the SHs. We are nearing the end of the story and the SHs are the future pirate king crew, they need to eventually defeat very strong fighters even in a 1v1 fight. However on the other hand I get why some might not like the idea of them suddenly being able to fight and defeat these very strong fighters, like the Tobi Roppo or the Veterans who have been hyped up.

Yeah that is interesting that Perospero's bounty is much more higher than both Daifuku and Oven, I'm going to guess that Perospero just caused more trouble for the WG and probably killed more people than Daifuku and Oven.

The difference between him and Peros is faaar to great, that he could jump several levels in just one arc.

Peros has a 700mil. Bounty and instantly overwhelmed Pedro who has a 380mil. Bounty and is far stronger than Brook and Chopper. And that without even using his DF.

Like i said above, he defeated Pedro without even using his DF. He is physicaly way above them. Those guys like Peros, Oven etc. and above are not depended on their DF's alone. They are strong overall.
I remember people thinking Brook could take on Smoothy a YC, because they thought he was immune against her DF...completely ignoring her physical stats.
