When has Luffy ever shown any leadership skills? He always splits from the rest of the crew and just fucks off ahead on his own without telling the others beforehand. His mentality towards 'leading' his crew is basically "Do whatever the fuck you want while I'll leave now to charge in blindly. Just make sure you complete the objective in the end"

The only threats in his crew Are himself Zoro And Jinbei Two Worst Generation members and a Warlord . Each of them could lead crews of their own and jinbei has already done so
