I'm pretty much of the opinion that OP characters are way too physically strong for Naruto characters, especially when it comes to those whose forte is physical strength.

That being said—Kisame is not a good match up in OPverse. We can't even equalize energy like in a Bleach thread since they have no energy to speak of. Kisame's a dominant fighter who gains great advantage via absorbing a person's chakra and weakening them while making himself stronger via their own power. His power is effectively halved, if not moreso, since Samehada is nothing but a glorified scab now.

Against Arlong—Kisame has superior suiton techniques and I don't think Arlong's fishman karate is enough to tip that balance. Kisame probably no diffs.

Against Monster Hody—No way to tell tbh. Both took a beating, a barrage of G3 versus Hirudora by Might Gai. I think the latter is stronger, having destroyed a susano'o. But physically I think Monster Hody as a distinct edge. Maybe a thousand feeding sharks gets him? I'll say Kisame very high diff.

Against Jinbe—Kisame is fucked. Jinbe's gonna be disrupting and redirecting every suiton jutsu out there. Only Katara would be a worse water based opponent for Kisame lol. Physically, Jinbe's also a monster. He probably gets low diffed.

Well Kisame can do that whenever he wants lol, it doesn't require a large chakra base to begin with. Chojuro claims that's one of Kisame's most fearsome attributes when describing Kisame Hoshigaki to the Gokage summit.

It's also not incredibly useful. Sure, his speed in the water is higher but these characters still have no chakra or energy to absorb. Samehada is kinda null in this fight.

Yeah he won't be able to absorb their energy but by fusing he can be stronger into water. Against fishmen this is good, because inside water they become a lot stronger, so with the merge he won't be destroyed if the fight goes into water.

Samehada is kinda null in this fight.

100% accurate. OP characters are indeed physical superior to most Naruto characters (There are a few exceptions, but they aren´t the rule)
Naruto characters are more known for their versatility and later for AoE and DC/AP.)

Arlong will lose, he is fodder in comparison to Kisame, but Hody stomps the shit out of him. I think if he fused with his sword, he can manage a fight against him, but since there is no Chakra to hold this mode, that shouldn´t take long.

Well tbh the only stat that will help here is increased speed, and even then I don’t think there’s a big difference between normal Kisame and Kisamehada. He’s displayed a swiftness in water before.

Chakra from Samehada heals Kisame, yeah. Which Kisame can just let the sword take his chakra and return it, but it’s still basically useless.

I don’t think there’s any description where Kisame needs chakra for this mode lol. It doesn’t seem that taxing and actually a pretty widely known technique from him.

Having advanced fundamentals of ninjutsu gives Kisame an instant advantage over Arlong and Hody. Given his huge chakra reserves, he can spam basic ninjutsu techniques until the first two are taken out. Easy win against Arlong, mid-diff against Hody. If roided Hody lands some solid hits, it could deal some major damage.

Jimbei on the other hand, would be a bit more difficult due to his mastery of fishman karate. He'd potentially have a counter for almost everything Kisame threw at him. Any summoning jutsu used won't work because Jimbei can control/communicate with sea creatures. Kisame merging with Sameheda would be course of attack. Jimbei wins high-diff.

I think naruto verse characters just are at a higher power scale. The best one jinbe is just a taijutsu guy and not even the best one. While he fought with one who is leagues ahead of jinbe. Ninjutsu just makes naruto characters at the higher level anyway.

OT: Kisame should beat Arlong cause of how much area and shit his Water Ninjutsu affects. Plus Kisame is physically much stronger and can take much more of a beating

Jimbei beats Kisame imo, buddy is a fucking water bender. So Kisame Mutsu are borderline useless and Jimbei is a monster physically so Kisame would lose his only advantage against him
