His goal has always been the distruction of Wano.
So my little theory is, Orochi actually always suspected that Kaido would someday just betray and kill him so in case that Happened and with the fruit he possesses Orochi will start his plan to erase Wano Country from the map and with that he would start the Wano ticking clock which I am always wondering what will it be and this is a plausible option.
Orochi is probably one of the most prepared villains we have seem he was always suspicious and always had plans for enemies that he didn't even know really existed.
And not only that but somehow Kaido would get to know what Orochi is actually planning then in a desperate try to avoid Wano being destroyed for his own good fly towards the Flower Capital, that's when the supernovas follow him to Wano's main land where his fall will happen and with that not only would Orochi fall Infront of his people but also Kaido and with that Oda's formula would be fulfilled.
● Spoilers :

▪ marco vs Big mom / Carrot vs perospero .

▪Kaido used Kawamatsu as his hostage .
▪Izo was shocked by this revelation .
( i think he wasn't there when other scabbards saw him using momo as hostage 20 years ago )
No break next week
He's definitely not dead. Fukurokuju walking away from the battle was clear indication that there is something going on with Orochi, and likely by extension, Kanjuro.
My guess was Izo was surprised because he saw Kawamatsu defeated or his corpse since he was the only scabbard being hit by Kaido. Oda did not show us that on last chapter for nothing. But if the new info is correct, then he being a hostage, is not that surprising

Regardless it ups the ante with chaos and powers and it (hopefully) closes the chapter on the Big Mom pirates, even if Linlin is supposed to be in Elbaf in some form. I'd rather see Oda spend another 60 chapters on fights and Wano if it meant ending the entire Big Mom plotline with her crew.
