Yonko and Emperors are the same thing. And yes Ray was portrayed in a better light than them.
Rayleigh's infamy dwarfs that of the Yonko and Admirals, let alone their subordinates
Sanji who knows about Rayleigh, had no idea what an Admiral was in the Navy
Nami, who knows of him had no clue who the yonko are
Marine Officers were confused when Akainu and Sengoku were talking about Oden.
