Gojo being sealed is one of the best decision Gege could've made. When Gojo is allowed to run rampant, tension is generally low bc you know he will find a way to deal with the big problem that is currently at hand.
But now, he's sealed away and the rest of the cast has to fend for themselves, without the Gojo trump card to save them. It's led to some amazing developments that probably wouldn't have happened if Gojo was still active. We're also seeing our other main characters grow and show off like they've never before which again is great for the future.
It's also giving the villains (mainly Sukuna and Mahito) some much needed development and growth. Mahito's Black Flash was seriously unexpected and made his character a lot more threatening. Not to mention, the insane feats Sukuna was showcasing without being at full power.
And Gojo being sealed sets up another hype moment when he is eventually freed, and we all know when it happens, it's gonna be a legendary moment.
