That was a normal face reaction.

Simple fact: his face was much more concerned when WB appeared from behind yet he is the same man who lost half his head and literally only survived because one can apparently survive with half a brain, at least in fiction.

The problem is you and others lack nuance in your thinking. It's not only that he was sweating, he was clearly afraid too:



Then if you have a brain you'll check what happens after. BM for instance called it a small battle and didn't care. Akainu whined like a bitch about Shanks protecting Luffy but didn't do shit. Shanks treated him like a piece of furniture and Akainu didn't move from his position to even attempt to attack Luffy.
