Roger had 2 design in the story so far ... original ... and new .... which one do you prefer?

New Roger looks like Adult Ace with facial hair

The New design is by far the most badass

Specially when he isn't even losing his classic piracy features which are fundamental for his character

So it's an upgrade and nothing is really wasted too

Original Roger is PK Roger, PK Roger is better than not-yet PK Roger.

Oh I see... Anyway, to answer the question, I prefer the new outfit since it's more detailed... The old one looks like a generic real-life 16/17th century pirate...

We can't really talk about old and new designs, his aesthetics keep changing throughout his appearances. That said, any Roger whose moustache doesn't come directly out of his nostrails is a failed Roger.
