They are also examples. But if your haki aint broken you wouldn't bleed. Its not just about force either. Doffy grabbed laws sword with his hardened hand yet was bleedin meaning hiis haki was broken and he took the damage.

You assume Zoro tried to cut through Apoo's weapon instead of Apoo himself. In the end it was just a minor clash.

Whiles Zoro's haki was withstanding the force it takes to cut down a mountain multiple times over, Luffy's was getting broken by Bellamy.

Wano already proved that Zoro had Oden level haki since timeskip

If he cut the tonfa, then that would let us know that he can't control what he wants to cut and what he doesn't want to cut.

People really need to rewatch/reread Alabasta. As Koushirou said A true swordsman controls what he cuts. This is why Mihawk's slash didn’t cut Jozu, because it was meant for Whitebeard. Zoro’s slash didn’t cut the tonfa because it was meant for Apoo’s body. I know you hate Zoro but don’t skip every one of his scenes

The purpose of that coating is to protect his sword from scratching...which is implied to be a shame for Zoro. The fact that his swords didn't have a chip on them after destroying the mountain sized golem proves that his haki was able to withstand the force it took to accomplish that feat.

And Luffy didn't get his haki broken when using KKG
