Honestly after looking recently on who's joining next , I was surprised on how irrelevant the Paradise StrawHats has been for a while

So excluding Luffy from the discussion everyone could group the StrawHats into 2 groups what we call the "Original StrawHats" from East Blue aka Zoro , Nami , Usopp and Sanji who get the most shine and the most focus and the Paradise StrawHats aka Chopper , Robin , Franky and Brook who barely get any meaningful storylines and always on the sidelines

And now let's look on who's joining from the New World and their potentiel focus on the story :

- Jinbei a former Warlord , has pressence and always relevant
- Yamato a daughter of Yonko , extremely powerful and has an interesting story
- Momo the son of Oden , has powers to control zunisha , extremely relevant to the plot of the Dawn
- Tama/Carrot are probably the least relevant candidats so they are the exception here

Like if I divide the StrawHats in 3 Crews and exclude Luffy :
East Blue StrawHats

Paradise StrawHats

New World StrawHats

Like for me it's so clear East Blue StrawHats > New World StrawHats > Paradise StrawHats and it's kinda sad since I really hope Oda give the Paradise crew more screentime and relevant plot like recently Usopp and Nami get put against Tobbi Roppo and in life or death situations while Chopper/Robin/Brook are in the middle of fodders DOING NOTHING and Franky is offscreen being chased by a Number

Like even the folks that would say Robin > Nami it's just off looks and design , Nami is 10 times more relevant as a character than Robin even tho Robin has a bigger purpose in the story

We were discussing a similar topic in the spoiler thread this week, but I can't quote closed threads so here's a screenshot of my opinion on the Pre TS 9 focus strawhats in general

it's not just about fighting tho , like Usopp and Nami don't get to fight major opponents yet they have relevant plot and a lot of screentime compared to the others ...

And we literally have theories that expect each one of them to have their own arc in the NW (Sanji/WCI , Zoro/Wano , Usopp/Elbaf , Nami/Raftel) thats insane amount of focus that the others wont come close to getting (Except Luffy cause every arc is a Luffy arc)

Yikes why yall assuming Yamato and co are joining ?
Her place is not Wano anymore. She is cursed by being Kaido's daughter and the fact she despised her dad doesn't alter her status.

So she feels like Wano can't be her place forever if she wants to be happy. So if she truly wants to live a joyful life she needs to undergo a special journey and destiny wanted she met the SHs.

East Blue straw hats are the best, the monster trio, the navigator and the man who wants to become a brave warrior.
We saw them enter Grandline and voice out their dream. It was the start of an amazing adventure, they had more interactions then and Oda had more time for small gags between them.
It gave a feeling of an unbreakable bond and chemistry between them.

I would also add Vivi and Chopper back then. They were good in the crew. Vivi left now and Chopper became fucking useless post TS.

i haven't been caught up to the forum opinion on this matter or the agendas around here but here's mine :

- Yamato and Tama already asked Luffy to join the Crew
- Yamato after the defeat of Kaido has no reason to stay in Wano as she wants to travel the World and be on the PK ship like Oden
- Momo wants to be like his father thus his journey will probably mimic Oden's

Last Chapter Yamato even mentions the Dawn and how Momo is the one to bring it which put massive ties to him and Luffy ... Everything points towards these 3 joining

Like you could probably make an argument for each not joining that would make some sense but in general everything is pointing towards them sailing with Luffy to Raftel (you could add Carrot to the mix and remove Tama idc its still the same)

Yamato and Momo are really important characters for end game stuff and Raftel and I'm 100% convinced they are joining

I like how people already consider Yamato a strawhat when in the manga this have never even been suggested clearly, it's all just fan speculation

Anyway OT: the East blue gang are the main or core of the strawhats so it make sense for them to have the main focus and screen
Even Jinbe won't have that focus after this arc (his introduction as a new strawhat arc)

Yeah it's not just about fights, that was a different discussion but similar in a general way. It also applies to story. Sanji's WCI arc was a one off because Oda was introducing a giant family and wanted to tie loose ends from his previous foreshadowing. We won't get something like that again for the rest of the series for any strawhat. All other SHs other than Luffy are support cast. Yes, Nami and Usopp get heavy screentime, but it's within the giant puzzle of the arc. It's about the world not the characters since Saboady. I get that's unfortunate to some readers, and to some extent I agree, but I just don't see those "Wano is Zoro's arc" or "Elbaf is Usopp's arc" theories happening in the sense they were meant. Sure Usopp will get heavy focus on his dream when he meets the giants, but it'll be a side story to Elbaph's main goal in moving the world to the last arc.

Despite I'm against Yamato joining, I don't see her being hated by Wano people become the reason why she should leave. This war aims to kill Kaido and succeeding in doing it or defeating him is not the reason to hunt and massacre the rest of crew including Yamato. Why? Cause i believe the hatred must be banished because that's why the tyranny by Orochi started in the first place.
