Good episode

I am happy for see Zoro didn’t forget about Yasuie and damn that Zoro attack looked dope.

Luffy’s recovery rate after eating is flipping insane lol

Yasuie came in clutch changing the message on the picture before his death, what a boss.

Law telling his crew not to tell Luffy about him being captured because he knows for sure how Luffy would go out of his way to find him lol

Hawkins being a sly bastard using Law’s crew against him but honestly props to him for acting like a pirate.

Law’s smirk when Hawkins asks him to reveal their plan. He knows Luffy’s style by now. Luffy follows no plans.

Basic One Piece episode with a couple of highlight scenes. Nothing great. Nothing bad.

Always in the mood for some good Zoro x Hiyori content. Zoro taking out the ninjas looked cool. I look forward to the fight scenes getting more fleshed out in the anime version.

Law's scene was well done, just waiting to see how they'll deal with Drake/Hawkins here. Are they going to show what happened or keep the viewers in the dark like the manga?

The episode was fine.

The art was really good, the storyboard was also really nice, there was a nice use of colours and imagery, the timing for scenes landed really well, particularly for the humour.

However, the content this episode covered wasn't really that interesting.

A competent, if not exactly gripping sort of episode.

The fight scene with Zoro and the Ninja's was really really well done funnily enough.

The animator of the first 21 cuts of the episode was Sanda. His a relatively fresh face to the series. Also in a discord server I'm apart of, which is cool.

This was their scene.

This was the confirmation of their scene from their twitter.

Overall, an okay episode, with nothing really going against it besides the fact the content was uninteresting.

Next episode looks like it could be better.

  • Ninja of every color of the the rainbow? Seriously Wano country? Oda wasn't kidding when he said he wanted Wano to be colorful.:optimistic:
  • No Rasengan = no party for Fujin.

  • The Mimawarigumi look pretty normal compared to the Oniwabanshu. But why does the big dude have a gray alien skin complex?:laughmoji:
  • The Fire Festival will look beautiful if that preview is any indication.

  • Great to see Heart Pirates all in their Wano costumes. Jean Bart is as big as Jack and nobody will ever know.
  • Hawkins making so many crazy faces this episode. You'd think he entered a foot massage parlor.:sanmoji:

  • Surprising to see Hawkins immediately turn into a coward when Law points his sword at him. But we've never seen how Hawkins reacts to uncalculated risk with only 3 extra lives, so maybe he really is this way without all his prep.

  • Good place to end it, Law drama was the best part of the episode.
Pretty alright episode. I can tell they reused Zoro's attack then just had him teleport past Fujin, but this was a nothing fight against a scrub so I don't mind. The Law and Hawkins stuff was very intense, but I wish they showed us a bit of their battle and had Law cut Hawkins with Shachi getting hurt in the process. That way the audience could see for themselves that Law was desperate but determined, heightening the tension much further, and Hawkins looks better by making it seem he didn't fell for a bluff. Big Mom and Kaido next week...been waiting a long time for this one. Let's hope it delivers!
