For the sake of transparency, according to MShadows who lives in Japan and is fluent, Zoro refers to Kaido as the World's Strongest in a sort of mocking way:

Zoro: I have come here to cut down the so called “strongest in the world” Kaido!!!

@T.D.A
For real? This is gonna be funny if true.

Makes sense though, Zoro spent the TS with the GOAT. Flying lizards ain't much.

F

Fallen Prince

The previous chapter was called Island of the strongest. Oda in the SBS (post TS) portrayed Kaido as the strongest being in One Piece right now. Countless people call him strongest.
Strongest creature or being .

In manga its strongest creature.

as if you are good at reading shits word by word

He is not saying that at that moment he is no longer the strongest.

In Sengoku's mind you see WB with the nasal hoses.

Sengoku saw Squard stab WB and still said he was the strongest.

And knowing Garp's level, Sengoku said that WB was the strongest and you know that Garp is one of the two most overrated characters in one piece

In this databook Oda says that WB continued to have the same strength of its best days

Also, the powers of the devil fruits do not get sick.:kayneshrug:

You don't see it as a point that Zoro and Luffy were the only two people in alabasta who had opponents they literally physically couldn't actually harm. And then Luffy takes three rounds but Zoro fuckin unlocks haki and beats Daz round one. And this is with Daz landing like multple dozen hits yet Zoro one shot him as he was extremely exhausted. and throughout the fight he was Overpowering Daz in speed and strength until he started getting hit.

You don't actually see that Zoro was stronger than Daz here and yet the story created the same type of obstacle as Luffy for him and yet he overcame it way faster than Luffy.

Also my point is that THIS HAPPENS MORE FOR ZORO than any other. Zoro is the one who enters Sabaody and Arlong park already weakened. He's the one who loses a sword fuckin off screen specifically so he fights Ryuma with two swords to get a third sword. We can go one by one and compare if you want.
I don't, I think your comparison between Crocodile and Bonez is arbitrary. Sanji couldn't hurt Mr. 2 when he tried the Nami trick and Luffy could harm Crocodile in two of their three fights. Not "the same obstacle", just an obstacle fitting each character in order to enrich the versus. Also, I think Bonez was a one-trick pony who simply put Zoro in problems because he was a swordsman unable to cut steel and never faced someone skilled enough to hear the breath of his body, but that's pretty much it. I think Zoro became stronger than him the moment he learned how to cut steel because that was a situational match-up and that's pretty much it, no need to overthink it out of its particular narrative context.

"Unlocks haki", yeah, well, in my opinion a poorly done retconning that remains unjustified. I highly doubt Zoro awakened haki in Arabasta from an out-verse perspective.

Anyways, what's exactly the narrative point behind always nerfing Zoro? Keeping him away from any interesting rival for thirty years? From Oda's perspective as a writer, why should he nerf Zoro for three decades in a row and restrain himself from fully using one of his main characters instead of creating an adversary strong enough to put up a decent fight or situations that challenge him too? I'll answer you: because he hasn't done it and Oda sees Zoro as he saw Kaku with regards to Lucci and Jabra.

Do you have a Diff at which Roger can beat current Kaido?

Like what difficulty do you have that is concrete on Which Pirate king Roger can beat Yonkou Kaido.

If you don't have a difficulty for this fight, then Pirate king level is vague. Everyone assumes Blackbeard will be some amount of strength above Yonko when Luffy fights him meaning Luffy will again be Some amount of strength above even blackbeard afterwards and then if Blackbeard is not even the final villain, that means Luffy will most likely be some amount of strength higher to beat that guy and then the series ends.

And yet Zoro's Strength is simply Strongest swordsman on the planet
I don't use "diffs" nor I think they establish whether something is or not vague. Roger and Whitebeard, probably Garp back then, potentially Blackbeard and Sakazuki in the near future, are above any other top tier portrayed as such narrative-wise (which will include Zoro by end of series).

It doesnt matter where they hurt him all 4 attacks landed and wasnt enough.
3 of which of them are comparable to commanders. Sulong inu who along with neko swept jack aside with ease. Yet still couldnt do what you say what zoro will do.
Which puts him above the aforementioned with EASE and comparable to oden. Not even in luffys dreams is he far above that.
Of course it matters, because one thing is creating one powerful attack by combining individual slashes and another way different is cutting with an individual slash each edge of the scar, which is what their position suggests. In this scenario, Zoro simply needs more attack power (not necessarily any other stat) than those guys individually, which at the same time doesn't really say anything about their overall power level (one may be faster than Zoro, the other more durable, etc.).

Zoro's slash will only be comparable to Oden's if he manages to permanently scar Kaido in another area. Opening a scar is way different and easier than creating it, just like Luffy's feat with Chinjao was far away from Garp's.

And please, don't remind me of Inu and Neko versus Jack, which first of all lacks any validity as a feat (since the guy was severily injured in mammoth form) and second was pure garbage by a guy who found it smart to off-screen the closing of a revenge plot started five years ago. Still gives me nightmares...

oh boy here comes another one. Last chapter, reddit trans said Killer was saying Strongest PIRATES. Plenty of people doubt it as well. Official proven they were wrong.

And now, this. I can bet that the official will not be putting any word similar to "so-called" in the translation. Im fine with being wrong but I just dont see it. Zoro was pouring his emotions out. He MEANT that shit.
