the best defense is ID location. the fact that it is underwater makes it borderline impossible to escape from as a df user.
wb gura does not help him. bm soru only slightly. kaido on the other hand has a good chance to escape due to his flying dragon form.
df less shanks also has a good chance to make a break.

The second he activated venom demon, there was NOTHING Ivankov + Jinbe etc. could do to stop him. Not just that, but he oneshot pre-skip Teach with a pretty average technique. The same guy who beat Ace. Magellan's a monster. I'd be surprised if he isn't YC3 or thereabouts.
