After every arc we get the official narrative through newspapers, the strowhats read the newspaper and we find out what world thinks happened (whether it's true or not). For example after WCI newspapers said that Big Mom lost and that Luffy became 5th Emperor.

Would Luffy have a chance against DD without GK seriously hindering DD´s durability and endurance? Nope. Even if you argue that G4 was stronger than DD physically, ultimately Luffy would not have any chance to finish the fight in 20 minutes against a fresh DD with Awakening and then he would be a goner.

And while the circumstances in regards to Kaidou are different, since Kaidou is exposed, the premise is the same. Kaidou needs to be handicapped, so that Luffy can do most of the work. But he would still get shared credit just like with DD.

And Luffy being a high diff fight for Kaidou with AdCoA, FS and so on is not far-fetched.

Dude you don't get it, I'm not saying Luffy could defeat Doffy by himself, I'm saying that the gap between Luffy and Doffy was insanely small which allowed him to do most of the work. Wano is different, the gap between Kaido and Luffy is bag, very big.

I do get it, you are not getting my answer.
If the gap between fresh Luffy and Doffy was that small, Luffy would always have a chance of winning.
HE didn´t though, hence the gap was not small, easy.

Like i said, that´s also baseless, unless we think Luffy is still his chapter 923 self and can´t give Kaidou a mid/high diff fight, something you can´t possibly know right now.

The newspaper will just say something like, “New Generation topple the Old generation.” Luffy, Kidd, and maybe Law will be the main stars to the outside world. I doubt Oda will pull the same bs of giving Luffy all the credit 2 arcs in a row.

Doffy couldn't even damage gear 4th Luffy, the gap between Luffy and Doffy was insanely small. For Luffy to have the same scenario as in Dressrosa then he should be (even for some small period of time) on the same level as Kaido or some other Emperor.

The only thing Kaido has over Luffy atm is his skin. Luffy owns him in everything else. Strength, speed, Haki.

Like do people forget Luffy has Top Tier strength + Top Tier Haki? Dude has the strongest offence in OP right now, probably tied with Akainu.

It was so small that even after Law nerfed him with Gamma Knife, Luffy had all of Dressrosa hiding him like he was Anne Franke or something.

Doffy was a 50/50 job between 2 Top Supernova. Kaido is like that + Kid. But Luffy has risen so much above those two, that he'll take most of the credit unlike DR.
