We haven't seen Roger's full backstory yet, there's so much to discover about him. We know about Roger as much as we Know about Mihawk. Mihawk never said that he defeated Shanks, as matter of fact it implies that he just stopped fighting against Shanks. Zoro becoming WSS now is a different thing when Mihawk achieved the same title, just like becoming PK back then and Luffy becoming PK now is different thing too.

PK back then and now is still the same, to reach laugh tale and find the One Piece, that by itself makes you the pirate king...The thing is, Roger was to early too use the One Piece, while Luffy will not be, meaning the story probably will not end as soon as Luffy becomes PK.

Thats a lie. Its all on panel.
Thats irrelevant luffy doesnt HAVE to beat yonko to be pk. Just like he took an rp and ran from meme in totland he could do the same thing here if he wanted. Hes choosing to fight just like he chose to assassinate big mom and then run when it failed. Being pk doesnt mean fighting yonko. So zoro is well within his rights to fight kaido. It has nothing to do with luffy.

Back then ponegliphs weren't under powerful pairets, back then there were no Emperors.

Luffy, kid or anyone who wants to become PK should test himself against an Emperor. Zoro has no interest in PK title, let Zoro shine against Mihawk and let Luffy and Kid shine against Emperors.
